Salt Water Fishing Reports (updated Dec. 2, 2008)
Upper Coast
Sabine Lake - Trout under birds and over shell pads throughout the lake. Specks and reds good in the river. Bull redfish good around jetties. Flounder good along Louisiana shoreline.
Galveston - Trout good around slicks, over shell pads and under birds. Bull reds and sharks steady at jetties and along beachfront. Some redfish and flounder along shorelines.
Matagorda - Trout good over shell pads and reefs. Reds good around Oyster Lake. Trout are steady in Colorado River.
Middle Coast
Port O'Connor - Bull redfish good at jetties and along beachfront. Trout good over shell and mud.
Rockport - Trout good over scattered shell. Redfish good near Cedar Bayou. Bull reds showing in Lydia Ann channel.
Port Aransas/Aransas Pass - Redfish steady on flats. Bull reds good along surf and jetties. Trout good along channel edges and over reefs.
Lower Coast
Corpus Christi - Trout good around reefs in Nueces Bay. Redfish good along ICW spoils.
Baffin Bay - Trout good over rocks in Baffin. Also, good catches of trout near Land Cut.
Port Mansfield - Redfish steady on the flats. Bull reds in East Cut. Trout good along edges of ICW
Port Isabel/South Padre - Bull reds good at jetties. Trout good on deep flats and along edges of ICW. Snook steady in Brownsville Ship Channel.
