Salt Water Fishing Reports (updated January 31, 2011)

Upper Coast
Sabine Lake - Trout good along Louisiana shoreline. Flounder good around marsh drains. Redfish good in marsh.
Galveston - Trout good around shorelines. Redfish good in back lakes. Whiting and sand trout good in ICW.
Matagorda - Trout good over shell reefs in East Bay. Redfish good in Oyster Lake and along the edges of the ICW.

Middle Coast
Port O'Connor - Redfish and trout good over muddy bottom in San Antonio Bay. Also good in back lakes.
Rockport - Trout good along edges of ICW. Redfish good in California Hole and Lydia Ann Channel.
Port Aransas/Aransas Pass - Redfish good along channel edges.

Lower Coast
Corpus Christi - Redfish good in Humble Channel. Trout good along channel edges.
Baffin Bay - Trout are good over mud and grass and along King Ranch shoreline.
Port Mansfield - Trout good along channel edges and over muddy bottom flats. Redfish good around potholes.
Port Isabel/South Padre - "Fishing good... Trout and reds scattered from south of Holly Beach up to Cullen's hitting with both live shrimp under popping corks and artificials. The shacks up the channel now producing some trout, black drum, sheepshead and a few reds. From Convention Center up to behind first island good for trout, reds and a few drum being caught on live shrimp, cutbaits and artificials especially during the high winds. Long Bar also has some trout and reds scattered near the bars. Mesquite Flats has some trout and reds hitting all live, cutbaits and artificials. South Bay has trout, small drum, sheepshead and pompano in the dropoffs but very scattered ...GOOD LUCK...................." - Capt. Gencho Buitureira Jr.
