Salt Water Fishing Reports (updated July 27, 2010)

Upper Coast
Sabine Lake -  Trout good under birds and around slicks. Redfish good around marsh drains. Trout also good at jetties.
Galveston - Trout good over deep shell, around bridges and along channel edges. Sheepshead, black drum and reds are decent around the jetties. Reds also fair in the back lakes.
Matagorda - Trout good around mid-bay reefs and over grass flats. Reds and trout around slicks. Reds good in Oyster Lake and along edges of ICW. Sheepshead, reds and drum around jetties.

Middle Coast
Port O'Connor - Trout fair and reds good in back lakes and the drains leading from the back lakes into the bay. Trout also good in bay over grass flats. Reds, sheepshead and drum around jetties.
Rockport - Trout good over grass flats and along channel edges. Redfish good around Estes Flats and Mud Island.
Port Aransas/Aransas Pass - Redfish, trout and sheepshead good along jetty. Trout good over grass flats and in surf.  

Lower Coast
Corpus Christi - Trout are fair along channel edges and around spoil islands.  Redfish good in potholes on flats.
Baffin Bay - Trout good in Land Cut and along King Ranch Shoreline. Trout also good around rocks.
Port Mansfield - Redfish and trout fair over grass flats and along edges of ICW. Some tarpon and bull reds around jetty.
Port Isabel/South Padre - "Fishing up and down due to high tides and full moon.... Schools of reds
reported by Lookout on the west side. Some good reds scattered around Gas Well Flats along with good numbers of trout being caught with live shrimp and popping corks and some cut ballyhoo and mullet. Trout also all-around the south end of Long Bar... Mexiquito Flats with a few good reds being caught there. The causeways also with some trout and good numbers of mangrove snappers. Black drum also showing up in most channels, being caught on the bottom with live shrimp.....GOOD LUCK......." - Capt. Gencho Jr.
