White Bass
Appearance: Identified by its deep body and unbroken horizontal stripes, the White Bass is similar in appearance to the Striped Bass, but shorter and rounder.

Size: Most White Bass are between 1 and 2 pounds, but fish up to 4 pounds are caught.

Where it's found: Most commonly found in large reservoirs and rivers. During the spring spawning season, White Bass will be found in shallow, running water in rivers, creeks and streams.

What it eats: Minnows and other small baitfish are the primary food sources for White Bass.

Top lures & baits: Live minnows will catch plenty of White Bass. However, most anglers prefer to use small lipless crankbaits, jigs, spoons or crankbaits.

How it tastes: White Bass provide a very tasty fillet, particularly when eaten fresh.
